The Blue Like Jazz Miss
So, Dad and I made our way to Shelby County yesterday. That wasn’t our destination. Tinseltown Theaters in Louisville was our destination. Blue Like Jazz the movie was our destination. Instead we got to watch break lights for over an hour in Shelby County. Oh well, I guess I’ll have to wait like the rest of you to see it on April 13th.
Would your kids pick the escalator or the stairs?
The escalator, right?
I can remember the first time I encountered the escalator, and how each trip turned into an adventure. Eventually I got older and the adventure became trying to run up the down escalator, much to my mom’s chagrin.
When we took Kamri, Lucas, and Lilli to the Mall in Kampala their reaction to the escalator reminded me of my own sense of awe. It still brings a smile to my face.
But if these stairs were up against an escalator the stairs would win every time, hands down. In honor of the day they became ours, February 7, 2011.
