Mentoring
Why Mentor? Well I believe…
- Youth and children who allow a concerned adult to be an intimate part of their lives are significantly less likely to end up in jail and remain in the church after high school.
- Twenty-somethings who choose to be influenced by an older adult will be less likely to make destructive choices, and will ultimately choose to follow Jesus wholeheartedly.
- Over 80% of the felons in US prisons grew up without a father in the home.
63% of youth suicides are from fatherless homes.
90% of all homeless and runaway children are from fatherless homes.
Three Fronts of the Same War
- Elementary School Age Boys in Inner-city Schools
- Middle and High School Youth in the Church
- Twenty-somethings
I involve myself in all three of these areas every year. Sometimes it results in a great relationship, and sometimes it is not a good match, but every time is worth the time.
